TAG’s Musical Evening

Tiatr Academy Goa has observed that there is a dearth of musicians playing blowing instruments such as Trumpet, Saxophone, Clarinet, etc. In modern times, Keyboard is used extensively to replace blowing instruments and as such the number of blowing instrument players decline day by day. Music provided to Tiatr and its songs appears to be incomplete without the presence of blowing instruments. In order to help to increase the number of musicians playing blowing instruments, TAG formulated a scheme. As per the scheme TAG supports the students by paying tuition fees as well as by providing blowing instrument to the students. The only condition is that the students after learning to play compulsorily must render his/her services to Tiatr and its song at least for one year.

These students will be presenting a programme ‘A Musical Evening’ in which Konkani music, old and new, will be presented by playing Trumpets, Saxophone, etc.

The 1st Musical Evening will take place on Saturday, 24th September 2011 at 4:45 pm at the Conference Hall, Ravindra Bhavan, Margao. Dr. Francisco Colaco will be the Chief Guest on the occasion. While the 2nd presentation will be held on Sunday, 25th September 2011 at 4:45 pm at the Black Box, Kala Academy, Panjim. Rev. Fr. Joaquim Loyola Pereira has consented to be the Chief Guest on the occasion. The programme is open to public.

All music lovers are requested to attend the programme.
