The Eucharist Explained As part of the "Deepen Your Faith" programme, the Pedro Arrupe Institute, Raia will be organizing a seminar on the "Eucharist: The Great Prayer of the Church" from Friday, 7th of October, 6 pm to Sunday 9th of October, 5pm at our Institute at Raia. This course will be conducted by the Jesuit Fathers of Raia, and Fr. Rui de Menezes SJ, the eminent scripture scholar from Jnana Deepa Vidyapeeth, Pune. The last day to register for the course is the 5th of October.
The main objective of the course is to enable one to find a deeper meaning in our participation of the Eucharist. The course will cover the spiritual, liturgical, theological and biblical dimensions of the Eucharist. The various sessions will trace the development of the mass down the centuries, its theological implications as well study the scriptural "Institution texts" found in the New Testament. Participants are free to stay at our institute or to commute up and down. The charges for the course are Rs 400/- for non-residential members, while it is Rs. 600/- for those who wish to stay at our institute and share a room. Rs. 800/- will be charged for those who would like a single individual room. On Friday (7th of Oct) and Saturday (8th of Oct) evening, the sessions will end at 8 pm, and will resume the next morning at 9 am.
