*37th Tiatr Festival * *TIATR PREVIEW*
* * *‘Abras’ * The tiatr* ‘Abras’* will be staged under the banner of St. Francis Xavier Cultural Troupe in the 37th Tiatr Festival organized by Kala Academy Goa, supported by Tiatr Academy Goa on 4th October 2011 (today) at 7:00 pm sharp at the DMK auditorium, Kala Academy, Panjim. The story of ‘*Abras’* is based on the beatitude given by Jesus, ‘Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven’ (Gorib Tim Subhagi, Sorginchem Raj Tanchem). The Tiatr is written and directed by Francisco Xavier Rebello. ‘*Abras’* features Rosario Botelho, Andrew Fernandes, Alice Correia, Martha Rodrigues, Sharon Gonsalves, Clarence Dias, Succoro Colaco, Francisco Xavier Rebello, Roger Mendes, Basil Aguiar, Sunny Vaz and Macklyn Fernandes. Child artiste baby Season Rebello will be acting for the first time on stage in this tiatr. There are 11 songs ‘Kantaram’ in this tiatr rendered by Aaron, Liezel da Costa, Andrea da Costa, Leander da Costa, Shari da Costa, Shanaiah da Costa, Enosh D’Silva, Roydnil Fernandes and J.A.Monteiro. The stage sets are designed by Kamlakant Chari and light effects by Anthony de Ambaji. Background Music is provided by Eddie Mascarenhas, Make-up by Eknath Naik and Costumes by Sally da Costa.
