Yesterday while hanging out with friends a most curious thing happened. A furry caterpillar (like http://www.glaucus.org.uk/FurryCaterpillar023.jpg) suddenly was blown onto the wall by the wind. Immediately everyone shouted in revulsion and tried to get rid of this scratchy pest.
I called it a Shenkundo as we do in Bardez. My Ilhas friend called it a Kussundo. The South Goan friend called it a Kussam Kidd. I wonder if there are other Konkani words for this hairy pest. Cheers! Cecil ===========
