As you must already be aware, Tehelka and Newsweek, two of the most respected
names in magazine journalism, are organizing THINK, a three-day conclave of
ideas, inspirations, debate and conversations from the finest minds in the
world between November 4-6 at the Grand Hyatt, Bambolim, Goa.
65 speakers - ranging from Frank Gehry and Sir V S Naipaul to Pulitzer winners
Thomas Friedman and Siddhartha Mukherjee, to cutting-edge innovators like Carl
Dietrich (Inventor of the Flying Car), Justin Hall-Tipping (game-changer in
Nanotechnology/Free Energy), and Michael Brown (the astronomer famously known
as 'Pluto Killer') - will be speaking across the three days at THINK.
Our celebrated lineup also includes Leymah Gbowee, who single-handedly brought
an African dictator to his knees and was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for 2011
earlier this week!
Sharing her activist spirit are Hu Shuli, China's most rebellious journalist
and Afghanistan's Shukriya Barakzai, the woman both NATO and the Taliban fear
equally.
Celebrated economists Esther Duflo and Abhijit Banerjee, climate change and
green activists Bjorn Lomborg and Pavan Sukhdev and development economist
Tamara Abed and Stuart Hart, a pathbreaker in sustainable enterprise, will
share ideas and their key experiences in these fields working across the world.
Aamir Khan, Abhay Deol, Imran Khan, Anurag Kashyap and Prasoon Joshi, among
others, will talk contemporary cinema, and we're also bringing down 8 of
India's best-known artists, including Manu Parekh, Yusuf Arakkal, Sanjay
Bhattacharyya and Naina Kanodia to paint live in our artist's corner.
As one of Goa's opinion-shapers - we look forward to having you with us at
THINK. We would also request that you invite, on our behalf, those
partners/affiliated organisations and journalists that you believe would be
interested in attending this event. In particular, we would also really really
appreciate it if you could mention us on one of the many blogs / groups you are
part of online!
As you know, all the sessions at THINK are entirely FREE to attend, because we
believe that ideas and inspiration should be shared with the widest possible
audience. If you are aware of any students / colleges that might be interested
in attending as well, do let us know.
We look forward to seeing you in Goa at THINK!
