Team Anna now seems to be projecting themselves as martyrs for the greater
cause of anti-corruption. By challenging the government to hang them or punish
them, it does not solve the ethical problem. It is they who dug their own grave
by attributing ulterior motives to those who do not support their Jan Lok Pal
Bill. They have projected their own team member as a betrayer. They have called
the politicians all sorts of names. That presupposes that they considered
themselves the epitomes of ethical conduct. Now they well know that some of
their contradictions have been exposed by civil society itself, yet they curse
the UPA for their misfortune. Kejriwal's attack continues to be pointed at the
UPA thereby clearly indicating that the anti-corruption movement is skewed with
preferences for a particular political group. Their threat of people reacting
is just an empty threat. Their arrogance and dictatorial style has destroyed
even the little sympathy they enjoyed.
