Today (26/10/11), we had gone for the feast of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour,
Tivim.
Tivim Church is famous for its Novenas every Wednesday.
Infact, a song in the ongoing tiatr Festivalmade me to visit this place.It was
about the ‘Perpet Succor’ Novenas at Tivim
The song clip is added to the feast video clip in the end. Sung by Francis
Silveira
I may have passed by this village or road but never been to Tivim before. Its
about 7 kms from Mapusa.
The Church is just after the Tivim gorund, on the main road
It has beautiful view with a river or stream in front.
The church ( Established 1623) is dedicated to St. Christopher
Tivim has about5000 Catholic population.
6 priets concelebrated Feast Mass with Fr. Diago as Main celebrant.
After the feast mass, cake was distributed to all
The feast attended by bothHindus and Christians, including the feast procession
Tonight, there is a Tiatr ‘PUBLIC’ by Com. Agostinho at the Church square.
