PANAJI: A few chapels, the crematorium and part of the cemetery, several
houses and their boundary walls will have to be razed for the broadening
of two major roads passing through Saligao to a width of 25m.
A large-screen copy of the notified RP 2021 for Saligao was displayed at
a public awareness meeting in the village on Sunday. Villagers found
several discrepancies as compared to the revised plan submitted by the
village level committee (VLC) to the town and country planning department.
