Goa Sudharop is organizing an International Goan Youth convention in Goa in Dec
2012. To help raise funds for the event, certain fund-raisers will be held to:
1. help with overall event costs, and 2. help youth individually raise funds
for their travel costs to Goa. The "Dance-a-thon" event on December 23, 2011 is
a fund-raising event in the San Francisco Bay Area, a date picked by our youth
since it falls within their high school/college holidays. See details below on
the event and individual fund-raising.

INDIVIDUAL FUND-RAISING ....
Goan Rockin' to Bollywood - "Dance-a-thon"
The Dec 23, 2011 (Friday) "Dance-a-thon" at MEHRAN is a way for you to raise
money for your air fare and additional individual travel expenses if you plan
to attend the Goa Sudharop International Youth Conference in Goa in December
2012.
Each person has to buy their ticket to the "Dance-a-thon" event (see below for
details of time, cost, location). Once you buy your event ticket, you can sign
up to participate as a team or individually in the "Dance-a-thon" and raise
money for your airfare and additional individual travel expenses. Each
participant/team will raise money per 20 minute interval of dancing or a flat
fee. Money is earned in the amount of consecutive minutes an individual spends
dancing. There will be scheduled intermittent rest breaks during the dance-thon.
If you participate as a team you can alternate who will be on the floor
dancing, for example siblings and friends can enter as a team and alternate the
time on the floor dancing so that one person is not dancing the entire time. If
participating as a team, the team will determine how the funds will be
distributed i.e. how the team will split the proceeds towards their tickets.
The maximum size for teams are capped at eight, but if you have a large group
you could break it into multiple smaller team. More details will be posted on
the Goa Sudharop Website over time, including the sponsor forms. If you would

EVENT .....
The Great Goan event of the year - "Goan Rockin To Bollywood - Dance-a–thon” is
on Friday, December 23, 2011. Please save the date and get your tickets early
for this fun event for the entire family.
Net proceeds from the event go towards the Youth Convention costs.
All ages are invited and please bring along your friends and family. Ticket
prices includes dinner, soft-drinks, and DJ dancing. No-host cash bar will be
available (beer, wine).

A no-host alcohol cash bar will be available (beer, wine). By purchasing a
ticket and attending the event you agree to hold MEHRAN RESTAURANT, GOA
SUDHAROP and all parties harmless for any adverse results in connection with
the event, including your alcohol consumption. i.e. you agree you are 100%
responsible for your alcohol consumption in connection with the event and you
are 100% liable for any injury or loss in connection with the event.

Please send for your tickets asap. NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR. Tickets
sold first come, first serve basis. Although those under age 5 are free please
include their names so we have a headcount for catering purposes.
