It is exciting to see how the Town & Country Planning Department is taking the
sons and daughters of Goa for a joy ride. While pretending to be cowed down by
public pressure against the RP-2021, the loot and plunder is allowed to go on.
What does the TCP mean by saying; that genuine errors in the Regional Plan will
be addressed in public interest? While on one hand it declares that
applications with valid documents will be granted approvals, in the same breath
it clarifies that permissions granted during the period of facilitation process
upto 31st january 2012 shall be subject to review/revocation if found
inconsistent with the criteria. Has it ever be known, unless for politcal
vendetta, that any construction once put up got demolished after valid
permissions were revoked by the TCP at a later stage? How long will this
Regional Plan be kept open for addressing genuine errors? Since when has the
TCP started granting permissions instead of N.O.Cs?
The CTP probably thinks that all Goans are fools that can be appeased with such
stupid advertisements.
