Merv - India (Govt) acquired a large stake in gold two years ago. It appears
both states believe(d) it represents good value. We hope it filters down to the
interests of their citizenery. eric.

On another note, three weeks ago, the Canadian Govt offered to exchange its
bank notes for gold. The Canadian Mint thought that people would perhaps
exchange about $200 million in notes for gold. Well, they were wrong!
The mint already has orders for gold that is the equivalent of 600 million
dollars.
