Makes me laugh at such ignorant so called Black Day observation.
Furthermore i read in today's Navhind Times on the above article, basis of
having this black day was to create an awareness amongst today's generation
about the oppression of the portuguese rule as people were living in fear as
they were subjected to cruelty for no reason.
I want to throw a question against these so called freedom fighters ....you
sleep the entire year with no much noise , then you wake up for gaining some
limelight as you are aware that the Goa liberation Day is coming close and the
Govt of Goa starts distributing awards for the so called Freedom Fighters on
this liberation Day .
Are you telling me today's generation is in fear of what happened fifty years
back or today's generation is under tremendous fear of what is happening in Goa
due to illegal mining where Goa is being plundered and raped and the total
exports of Iron Ore goes from Goa to China, or they are under fear because of
rampant unsolved problems in the once upon a time Golden Goa , where you as
self proclaimed or self glorified Freedom Fighters do nothing but just bask
out with one song ....Portuguese Invasion .
If you guys are real freedom fighters , then fight the illegal mining , fight
so many unsolved problems of Goa , fight in keeping Goa Clean, Fight
Unemployment, Fight Price rise, fight towards proper health facilities, fight
towards Proper governance and finally fight towards getting a special Identity
for Goa and Goans, Electicity, Water, Rule of law, Judiciary ...now that is a
true Freedom Fighter.
What happened Fifty Years back should be forgotten and looked at it from the
Politically angle while culturally and other factors of the then Portugese Era
are strong amongst people in Goa and you as Freedom Fighters can't do much
about it and it is time you embrace and accept it .Culturally,socially,
religiously , educationally , Goans have accepted the Portuguese Influence in a
very positive way and are enjoying it.
Lastly Fighting for Political Freedom without Economic Independence is useless .
