re #1: Is one to assume that Eugene has statistics to prove that the
level of English has not gone down in Goa? Would it not have been more
appropriate for Eugene to suggest that Selma either prove her
statement or qualify it with her understanding of the situation,
instead of just slamming it as being 'absurd'?
re #2: Yep .....doing 'anything' in a hurry has risks. I suggest that
one takes one's time and enjoy the activity ...even if it is writing
on GN.
