A LETTER TO EDITOR PUBLISHED IN GOMANTAK TIMES DTD. 26/11/11

GBA has lost its moral right to caution the people of Goa about certain groups
creating confusion over the RP-2021. It is amusing to learn that GBA is now
advocating a relook at the Goa TCP Act and its compliance with the 73rd / 74th
Constitution Amendment after it has mislead people into collaborating with the
Government's process of RP formulation under the prevailing out-dated planning
laws which it promoted as participatory planning. GBA first needs to address
the conflict of interest that exists within its rank and file. Thereaafter, it
needs to go back to the report of a workshop held in August 2007, in the
presence of a renowned planner from Mumbai, to understand how it has deviated
from its course and betrayed the trust reposed in it by the people of Goa. At
present GBA has nothing left to contribute except its name which is being
exploited to distract the people of Goa from the real issues in the RP-2021.
