Parrikar opens his innings with police complaint against Rane, Faleiro and dkin 2011-12-03
While most politicians dip into their slush funds to buy votes, Manohar Parrikar files police complaints in the run up to the next state elections against heavyweight opponents. He has filed a police complaint before the Director General of Police Dru Aditya Arya. The complaint is against the Speaker and ex-CM of Goa Pratapsing Rane, ex-CM Luizinho Faleiro and the Chariman, GIDC Chandrakatn Kavlekar. The complaint is based on the comments by the Comptroller and Auditor General pointing out to irregularities in the sale of plots at that time.The plot under discussion was sold to two companies Meditab and Raheja. The complaint is under sections dealing with cheating, conspiracy and forgery. The CAG report spoke of Rs 102 crore loss to the exchequer, Parrikar feels it has to be easily Rs 400.
