The latest Doomsday prophecy based on the Mayan calendar has seized popular
attention;
it points to December 21, 2012 being the end of days. The Mayan calendar stops
at December
21, 2012 - and the next thing you hear is...that this is the prediction for the
end of the world. Yes,
the Mayan calendar is very detailed and covers thousands of years - and for it
to stop at 2012
suddenly, is taken to imply that it's the end.

Folks,
The Mayan calendar points out to December 21, 2012 as the end of an era and not
the end of days.

No one can predict the future, yet there are lots of my brothers and sisters
who are willing to believe
that some people, or a group of people, can. In fact, when I opened the link
above, there was another
large link to the daily horoscope.  People read and believe the daily horoscope
in the year 2011?

As for the end of the era, is there anyone here who is willing to bet that the
price of gold will be at its
highest price ever on December 21, 2012? Or on that day,
world currencies collapse and another
form of money comes into existence? Hey! if journalists and astrologers can
make money writing
pure rubbish, perhaps the easiest way to make money is by milking the folks who
read such stuff.
