The growing menace of so claimed politically enlightened Babas and Padris that
have descended in Goa's political scenario is amusing. Goans can be ready for a
Baba-Padri disco deewane this election season. If anyone questions these new
found alliances and interventions then he/she could be accused of hindering
their prophetic mission. They will provide all other solutions except
spiritual solutions to Goa's problems. Their agreed upon agenda seems to be
Digambar hatao and Goa Bachao. I don't think the opposition parties should now
have any problem whatsoever with this sort of religious intervention that adds
to their social and political turmoil. It could be a serious problem only if
they assume power. Till then, all is well in the name of RP-2021, Corruption,
black money, mining, dynastic Gandhis, a weak Manmohan Singh, booze,
prostitution........... The item numbers are simply Xciting!
