Abuse Of Money It is just astonishing, to see Goans going bananas, over the birthday of politicians, their siblings and even their shoots, especially as today is the birthday of one of the most controversial politician in Goa's history. To say "Hola" Mickey is one think but then ten full pages including two full coloured pages of single advertisements, two 50%, two 25% and one around 15% of a page of birthday wishes, out of a total of twenty five pages, which makes it, a little less than 50% of the total news paper of Herald alone, is too much to digest and understand.
If Chris Gyale had the audacity to call Sehwag's 219 against West Indies in the fourth ODI, child abuse, what should this waste of money be called ? That too when India and the rest of the world are going through some severe financial constrains ? Isn't this financial abuse ? Mickey in the last few years has been having a torrid time on both, personal as well as political front, so much so that he had been forced to resign as the Tourism Minister. During his more than a decade in Goan politics, he has always been marred by one controversy or the other and even worse controversies on the personal front, and it was not surprising that he won the last election by just some mere votes. No doubt his extravagant and flamboyant life style appeal's to some Goans but unfortunately it should be ethics and character what we should looking in our politicians rather than their unethical life style. Looking at all the wishers by mere numbers and the support base that Mickey looks and seems to have, I think wholesale Ratol and aphrodisiac business could be very successful in Goa, especially in south Goa.
