THIS MAY BE CONSIDERED AS THE RAISING OF THE MANY BLACK FLAGS ON THIS GOA'S 19TH. DAY OF DECEMBER, 2011

Apart from the promises of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru since 1954 that Goans shall not be 'coerced to join the Indian Union against their wishes, the following many reasons support the feelings of Goans that Goa has never been liberated on 19th December, 1961, the way they are made to believe but re-colonized by India, being the stronger colonizer than the erstwhile Portuguese.

Goa would have been truly LIBERATED IF:-
1. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru had kept his solemn promise as given in 1954/1956 in Kanpur/Mumbai
Quote
"I want to explain myself. If the people of Goa, that is, minus the Portuguese Government - if and when the Portuguese go and the people of Goa deliberately wish to retain their separate identity - I am not going to bring them by force or compulsion or coercion into the Indian Union. I merely say that my national interest involves the removal of the Portuguese from Goa, not coercion being used in bringing about the union of Goa with India, although I wish it, I desire it and it is the only solution. That is a matter ultimately for the people of Goa to decide. I want to make it perfectly clear that I have no desire to coerce Goa to join India against the wishes of the people of Goa. But the point is that we feel that Goa's individuality should remain and that whenever the time comes for any changes, internal or other, it will be for the people of Goa acting freely to decide upon them."

2. Plebiscite was ordered soon after the Portuguese were taken off from Goa for Goans to decide what they wanted. 3. The Indian Navy had handed-over the Dabolim civilian airport to Goa's civilian authorities and left.
4. The many Portuguese mining leases were cancelled.
5. Goa was extended the real 'Special Status' on the lines of Nagaland and other smaller States. 6. Indira Gandhi had remembered her father's promises to Goa and Goans and not sanctioned the Opinion Poll of 1967 for Goa's Merger with Maharashtra. 7. Goa's fake freedom fighters like Naguesh Karmali were struck off the FF's list to save tax-payer's hard-earned money going down the drain to support thugs and
   thugery.

Conscious Goans may add more to the above list at will
