The Man Who Sold The Land Of His Birth
Renowned Architect, Gomant Vibhushan Awardee, Charles Correa a well know
planner and the man behind the RP 2021, says he is upset over the misconception
spread on RP 2021 and then he goes ahead and acknowledges that there are errors
that can be rectified, misconceptions spread and the acknowledgement of errors,
isn't that an oxymoron ? If the renowned Architect agrees deformations in his
pet product, why were the deformations not rectified prior to the delivery of
the RP ? If he knew that there were anomalies and still put the RP for
notification, than wasn't Charles Correa deceitful, in trying to misguide Goans
? Only because the anomalies have been identified he accepts they are anomalies
or else they would be stamped and enforced and it would be we the people of Goa
who would suffer.
Going back to the RP 2011, wasn't the very same Charles Correa brains behind
the acrimonious RP 2011 ? Since then we have had two more rectified drafts and
how come there still seem to be anomalies for rectification ? Charles Correa
states that the width roads specified and projected in the plan, were as per
1974 plan, so how come they did not appear in the draft 2011 ? Charles Correa
further says that he is sure that no houses or structures would get demolished
with the implementation of this plan, doesn't this sound familiar ? Just how
many promises have our Authorities fulfilled in the past fifty years ? Were we
not told by the Authorities that no structures would be touched within the CRZ
? Is Charles Correa in a position to guarantee anything at all in Goa or is he
to be the law in Goa ?
All of Goa is up in arms against the conniving ingenuity of Charles Correa for
his betrayal of Goa and Goans and he has now been rewarded with the prestigious
Gomant Vibhushan for his anti Goa planning by the Congress government which
shows that he is just a puppet in the hands of the Kamat government to do their
bidding like all the other bureaucrats thus becoming a mere tool of the Kamat
government, who are all set to destroy Goa and Goans. The planned anomalies in
the RP 2021by Charles Correa certainly indicate the personal agendas of our
corrupt politicians.
Charles Correa in his acceptance speech said that that the award was special to
him as it was given with so much love and affection, and it comes from the land
of his roots and among the many awards he has received this one was the closest
to his heart and the emotions cannot be described in words. Impressive speech,
yes the honour was bestowed on him by the Kamat government for doing their
bidding and that's the reason they gave it to him with so much love and
affection and it has surely come from deceiving Goans and his treachery to the
land of his roots and he should certainly keep it close to his heart to remind
him of his betrayal to Goa and Goans. What does it profit a man if he gains the
whole world and betrays the land of his birth and his soul ?
I surely hope Charles Correa can live with himself and the curses of the people
of Goa, for selling the land of his own birth, which indeed gave him so much,
for a few pieces of silver or even for a few prestigious awards.
