Additional Winter Special / New Year Special Trains on Konkan Railway Routes
In order to cater for extra rush during the Winter Season – 2011 as
well as New Year, Konkan Railway in co-ordination with Central Railway
and Northern Railway , has introduced the following Special Trains
between Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CSTM) - Madgaon & Nizamuddin -
Ernakulam for the convenience of its most valuable and esteemed
passengers. The details of these train services are as under:

Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Vapi, Vasai Road, Panvel, Roha, Roha,
Ratnagiri, Thivim, Madgaon, Karwar, Udupi, Mangalore Jn., Kasaragod,
Kanhangad, Payyanur, Kannur, Tellichery, Vadakara, Kozhikode, Tirur,
Kuttipuram, Shoranur, Thrissur, Aluva and Ernakulam Jn., stations. The
train will have 23 coaches with Composition of Twelve Sleeper Coaches,
One AC II Tier, Two AC III Tier, One Pantry car, Five General & Two SLR
Coaches.
With these additional services, in all 92 Winter Special Trains are
being run during this year on Konkan Railway Route, as compared to 70
services run during the last year in Winter Season.
