Thank you JoeGoaUk. It was a pleasure to hear Floriano’s Konkani. I particularly appreciated the reference Adv Jatin Naik gave of Thorat, ex CM Parrikar and Kamat. Also it was important of hm to mention Antonio Gramsci. Thank you all for standing up there-- Prakask Kamat Adv Antonio Lobo, Dixon Vaz Savio, Jowett D'Souza, and all who felt it in your their hearts to attend the small rally to obtain Justice for Cipriano Fernandes.'
It strikes me that while all is not well that Goan politicians are not even astute politically. There is not need to have the police soften any detainee. Only an equitable society could perhaps guarantee that a police office not turn his/her ire again the person-hood of those detained. I personally feel there is tremendous hatred, and that will only change when we are willing to go into our communities in a much narrower way -- meaning, that Christians, Hindus, and all talk among themselves (within their individual communities, in their families--including the political) about values and how modernity, human rights, virtues, shashtric awareness, virtues, and morals fit in with their identity as a community, as the people of a State. ++++++++++++ venantius j pinto > Message: 3 > Date: Mon, 9 Jan 2012 20:04:34 +0000 (GMT) > From: JoeGoaUk <[email protected]> > Subject: [Goanet] Murder in the Police Station, completes one year > today.. > > ? > Why you think ?there was a poor turnout for this cause today? > ? > Is there something else I am not aware of? > Perhaps, Soter can come back on this one (no offence) as I find him quite > expert or predictive on this types matters such as hidden agenda etc > ? > Where are the the other popular activists including the priests? > ? > Is this not that serious issue? > (DEL) --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Protect Goa's natural beauty Support Goa's first Tiger Reserve Sign the petition at: http://www.goanet.org/petition/petition.php ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
