Nitish gains 41 ELO rating points in Round Robin Chess tournament in Hungary.

Geno brand ambassador Nitish Belurkar, who had recently won silver medal in Commonwealth Games, Johannesburg, South Africa put up a fine performance at Caissa Round Robin International Chess tournament, as he notched up a 41 point Elo rating gain, a huge gain in an International tournament. Nitish defeated higher rated players, Kovacs Zoltan, rating 2075, Marosi Csaba, rating 1972 and Zsiros Laszlo, rating 1904 to earn the rating gain. Nitish is given special coaching in Hungary by Grandmaster Gyuno Sax. GM Sax expressed satisfaction at Nitish’s games and complimented his attacking style. He felt that such a style will stand Nitish in good stead in the future. Dronacharya awardee Raghunandan Gokhale who is accompanying Nitish in Hungary also complimented Nitish on his performance.

Ten year old Nitish is a standard five student of Sharada Mandir School. He was also recently awarded the Candidate Master title by FIDE, the World Chess Federation. He will next play in the Prague Open and the Meiranbad Open tournaments in Czech Republic in the next two weeks.
