CREDIBILITY OF INSTITUTIONS
Every Institution of governance has been undermined or systematically destroyed
so people have lost faith in them.The myth propounded that parliament can be a
law unto itself needs to be firmly dispelled.In Pakistan we have them shielding
President Zardari against the Supreme Court orders to bring him to justice,and
in India we have the IAC movement leading to both Sahbas "Sense of
House"resolution subsequently observed in the breach. Now the sorry spectacle
of our Army Chief approaching the Supreme Court for dispute regarding his date
of birth.
I think the red lights,black cat guards etc, used to being above the law and
getting away with it, is the reason for the present state of affairs! The
sooner the people unselfishly realize this, and do NOT permit/support them to
play God or treat the Supreme Court and the Constitution lightly whilst bending
laws and rules playing dirty politics, the better it will be for our nation .
