Napolean Code , the precursor of the Civil Code as still Extant in Goa
prescribes different periods of LIMITATION , whist the position under the
Indian LImitation Act prescribes a maximum of TWELVE YEARS. The aim of all
these Codes is to ENSURE that life goes on unhindered by old memories. AFTER
ALL HOW FAR BACK IN HISTORY CAN WE GO?
4 Can we go as far back as the RAM TEMPLE/ MOGHUL INVASION of INDIA/ THE
MOGHUL EMPIRE IN GOA/ THE ROMAN EMPIRE/ THE MAURYA DYNASTY/PERSECUTION OF JAINS
BY HINDUS etc etc, etc, etc etc raised to INFINITiY?
5 Simply put , the pragmatic way forward is to let sleeping dogs lie.LET US
GOANS EMBRACE THE DOCTRINE OF " QUIET REPOSE" and move forward.
