Lotus, komoll, Sallok is not always equal to BJP the above is from Velsao-Pale lake taken today. When we were young, We believed that there lives a devil (Deuchar) beneath the (Red) lotus. And that if one goes to pluck it in the water, it moves further and further taking your deeper and deeper until you are drowned – that’s act of ‘Deuchar’ Believe me or not, when I was taking the pic today, I felt the similar movement, instantly reminding me of my childhood belief (mind you, people still believe in that..) Of the long stem (dent), we use to make a sort of Rosaryor garland, don’t know if anybody remember that. The plant also give a sort of bud (Bongo), edible, full of velvety seeds, giving an unique flavour while inhaling..
