COMMENTS:
For all these years, it was an inescapable fact that the MGP was being
slowly but steadily swallowed by the BJP. It is little surprise that the
FEAT of the swallowing has been completed at last and the GR8 saffron
anaconda can rest.
This feat of the BJP swallowing of the MGP had been predicted by me years
ago during the aftermath of the Curchorem-Savordem riots when Maria Aurora
Couto had snubbed late Ulhas Buyao bad, at the TB Cunha Hall, when he had
set out to explain the reasons why this first of it's kind communal riots
took place in Goa. But then I had intervened and Ulhas Buyao had had his
say, with Maria Aurora Couto nursing her ego while holding back tears for
being brushed aside. It is then that I had taken the stage and challenged
the audience to prove me wrong when I had boldly stated that:
"MGP was COMMUNAL, is COMMUNAL and always will remain COMMUNAL." Since
there were no challenges forthcoming I had gone on to explain why I said
what I had said:
"If the MGP was not communal" I had said " the BJP would not be able to
touch it with a long barge pole. But we see that MGP is already more than
half swallowed by the BIG communal brother and what is left will be
accomplished sooner than later"
My prophetic words have come true TODAY. It is good riddance that MGP, that
has been the ULCERS of GOA and GOANs since 1963 is deep inside the BJP's
intestines and is being digested for good.
I, for one, am overjoyed and HAPPY enough to say EUREKA !!.... EUREKA !!
Secular GOA has now got just one enemy to fight it out instead of two. The
BIG SAFFRON TOOTHLESS ANACONDA.
