George,
FYI, not every thing has gone into the COFFIN before it is nailed shut.
Little something has refused to be enclosed shut and is outside he COFFIN making a din, however miniscule just like an ant would try to sting the leg of the ELEPHANT. There is still hope in these crucial elections for little DAVIDs and /or little KRISHNAs to be armed with vote based SLING-SHOTS/s and/or SWORDS to slay
Goa's long stagnating political GOLIATHs and/or NARKASURAS.

It is time for every CONSTITUENCY's concerned voters to identity little insignificant Davids and/or Krishnas and arm them with thier vote wapped sling-shots and/or swords.

Cheers

Subject: [Goanet] Goa, RIP

When I have written Goa, RIP, in the past on this forum, it is clear that I am referring to the political set-up in Goa and not to the rest of Goan society which is generally wonderful (food, music, culture, art, music, literature, etc.). Just wanted to make that clear before some sensitive soul with low self-esteem defensively writes some nonsense about critical NRGs, life in America, etc. This is a Goa forum, hence the Goa mention.

With that in mind, the upcoming elections mean little since Goa's coffin has already been nailed shut by the policies of the two national parties in the last 15 years. Let the Goan corpse lie, we have disrespected the motherland enough by raping the soil for mining and then urinating and defecating through mega-project "development".

At best now we can hope that a few ethical independents get elected to rattle the grave and resurrect a new Goa. For some in Goa it will soon be Easter and a religious resurrection. For all of Goa, we must remain optimistic for a political resurrection.

Regards,
George
