Goans can take it from me that if Parrikar is two or four short of forming the
government he will even take help of the Alemao and Rane family (family raj).
Goans will be left looking with their fingers in the mouth. Then you will here
the best of Parrikar's justification; "The people have elected them. The people
did not give me the required numbers so Ii have to do with what is given."
Goans have seen Parrikar's (while in opposition) most disgraced and ridiculed
officer Suryanarayan being hoisted as chief of a lucrative department and so
was Modassir. The Monster rat and Parrikar's now corrupt Digu were second in
command. He will then claim that he can manage these officers and MLAs as their
corruption was because of their association with Congress. Not surprisingly,
some journalists who were screaming at Parrikar when in power and calling him a
dictator at Azad maidan are now seeing him as an alternative to the Congress.
Everyone seems to have forgotten Parrrikar's dream
of making alcohol available even on gaddas. And Goans forgot how the tax payer
was squeezed to raise money for his adventure of Panjim shinning, doles and
computers. Even the rates of publications at the government printing press were
hiked. All have forgotten how Parrikar's Goa was generous in funding 20 lakhs
for the campaign of a marathi film from Maharshtra at some film festival. He
will find it extremely difficult to make the same arrangements for funding
English medium primary schools. How self interest and divisive agendas can turn
black into white, isn't it? Will Goans be so foolish as to believe BJP, or any
national party for that matter, in this election? Goans need to understand that
there can be no salvation with these national parties in power.
