These elections have been rigged as usual. The reason lies blinded. Myths,
slander and emotions rule. Some fly-by night political adventurists have turned
this election into a picnic. Goans seem to have joined in making a mockery of
Democracy. While claiming to play the politics of kindness, Goans have actually
forgetten that they are furthering the politics of unkindness. Vote splitters
and rumour mongers are as guilty as the greedy politician in furthering this
game of cheating the unsuspecting voter. Goa's politics of Change Makers seems
to be directed towards driving the voter to jump from the frying pan into the
fire. Unfortunately, today's political expertism is about academic degrees and
library solutions coupled with virtual marketing. The results of this election
may not be too kind given all this mindless 'Kolaveri di' and picnics.
