1st Friday of the month.
From February 2012, SMGC General Body Meeting will be held every 2nd Friday of
each month in Room No. 1 above Mini Hall from 6.00 PM to 7.00 PM
Next General Body Meeting will be held on 9th March 2012 .

Khursache Vatt (Stations of the Cross)
There will be Stations of the Cross (Khursache Vatt ) at 10:00AM in Konkani
every Friday during Lent at St. Mary’s Church Dubai (Girls School Compound).
We will need a lot of volunteers there hence would appreciate if anyone
interested to be present at the Girls compound by at least 9:30AM to help out
with the sound and distribution of the books and keeping the place ready.
The Season of Lent
The Season of Lent commences on 22 February, Ash Wednesday:
Morning services: 5.30 a.m.; 6.45 a.m.; 8.00 a.m.; 9.15 a.m. and 12.00 noon
Evening services: 3.00 p.m.; 4.30 p.m.; 6.00 p.m. and Novena to Our Lady of
Perpetual Succour at 7.15 p.m. followed by Holy Mass. Mass in Malayalam will be
at 8 pm at Girls School Compound.
Please note that :
(a) The imposition of ashes will be done after all Masses.
(b) Brown envelopes “My Sacrifices for Lent” will be distributed after all
Masses. These will also be available during the Lenten season in the church
portico or Parish office. These envelopes may please be returned during Lent or
on Good Friday with your “Lenten Sacrifices”.
Regulation on Fast and Abstinence during Lent:
In accordance with the instructions of our Bishop Paul Hinder all Wednesdays
during Lent should be observed as days of Abstinence. Additionally, Ash
Wednesday and Good Friday are the days of fast and abstinence. As a devotion
and penance, the faithful are recommended to fast and abstain on other days
also.

Konkani mass - Every 4th Thursday of the month (8:00 PM) at St Mary's church.
Youth Meeting
Youth Meeting is being held on the 3rd Friday of the month. at St. Mary's
Church, Room No. 1 Above Mini Hall between 18:00 hrs to 19:00 hrs
Kindly note that the Youth has to assist in all areas so please participate. We
need you :-) .
