Reading all the news of the election fever, on behalf of many Goan NRIs, I would like to take this opportunity to indicate that the Tourism Ministry should take into consideration about the festivities/hotels/shacks and all promoting tourism that the time limit for music/entertainment should be extended at least until 03:00am as is the case internationally. Surely these entertaining institutions have enough financial resources to meet the needs and entertain the guests and will have their own in-house security to ensure there is peace and tranquility in the vicinity.

Those entertaining hosts who would like to prolong the festivity timings
beyond 03:00am (for e.g. weddings or special dances for New Year, Easter, St.Anthony, St. Joao, May Queen Ball, Club's annual, Harvest dance, Christmas, etc) should opt for special permission.

Law and order has always prevailed in our susegad Goa until the tourism
ministry opened their welcome hands too wide thus permitting 'ghantis'
lamanajingas or whatever they name them and indians from other states to
build their shanty homes and bribe them to vote for those in power thus
polluting and disturbing the peace in our state.

We hope that proper census is done and those who are non-Goans should be
sent back to their state and arrange proper checks at the borders to ensure 'tourists' whether Indian or foreigners have some forms to fill thus indicating their address/place of origin and their residence address in Goa and accordingly leave our state within the span of their permitted visit period. Indeed, it will be difficult at the offset but it is better late than never to safeguard and protect our state.

To manage the hotels and other entertaining venues and streets during late hours - we have able police patrol who should do their jobs with dedication and not be greedy for bribes. They should be given motorcyles for easy tracking or perhaps mounted on horses - keep our GOA clean, tidy and honourable!

Beautify the city, proper road lights, keep the cattle away from the streets specially at nights as they are more than the RTO not caring for motorists or anyone and just laze on the roads, by contacting the Cattle-owners with warnings and fines and then the Municipality should arrange to take the cattle in their custody - this will teach the cattle owners to build proper fences for their cattle to graze and laze!

We are ready to help in anyway to protect our State and if those elected
cannot satisfy the public then they should step down with honour at their own!

Best regards,
