With the euphoria in some quarters about the change in Government, we need to
get back to earth and remember some of the misdeeds of one party. This party
in order to hold on to
their "kodel" got one of the MLAs disqualified on the grounds that he was a
member of their party. The MLA denied being part of that party. But as proof
a Xerox copy of an
application bearing an allegedly forged signature was presented. When the cops
were asked to investigate, there was no sign of the alleged original
application. Nothing became of the incident, as Politicians being Politicians
look out for each other despite their affiliations, and the entire episode
appears to have been swept under the rug.
Such is the state of politics in Goa !
Lets hold on to our own kodels and watch as events unfold, to see if promises
are kept, and watch out for the onset of corruption.
