My Salute to Mathany!
It was really sad to hear the loss of Goa’s one of the decent politicians in
the name of Mathany Saldanha.I personally first met him at Cuncolim during the
BJP’s padyatra and by witnessing the way I was speaking he called me a typical
Cuncollekar and I replied saying, Yes I am. It was his right decision to join
the BJP,Cortalim voters rightly decided to elect him as their representative
and BJP rightly decided to offer him a cabinet status but unfortunately God,
the creator had different plans for Mathany.The creator urgently wanted his
services in his Kingdom of heaven.
Mathany continuously fought for the Ramponnkars,his battle was continuous
against the SEZ’s in Goa and he always demanded Special status for our mai
Goa.No doubt,Mathany would have used his Cabinet berth in the best way he could
but God wanted him to be the minister in his kingdom of heaven. He was a niz
goenkar,a true statesman and God needed him the most. Sometimes I doubt God’s
plans but can’t help, have to accept life as it comes.
When goans were hoping a lot from the newly elected BJP government,BJP lost one
of her sincere and capable minister. Hope Mathany will be replaced by a true
Krantiveer from Cortalim constituency. Pray for us Goans,Mathany.We all will
miss you a lot. Though I am sure that your soul will never ever rest in peace
until the mess created by some dirty politicians is cleaned up,May the soul of
this great son of Goa,Mathany Saldanha Rest in Peace.
