However if you were trying to make a point that Canadians consider themselves Americans and Goans consider or should consider themselves Asians, you could not be on more slippery ground. Almost tantamount to saying that Pakistanis or Bangladeshis should today consider themselves Indian because their countries are located in the Indian sub-continent. I am happy to know that either way, you are shedding your bias against the USA by saying "Canadians are Americans" whether true or not, since it's a far cry from the days when you considered Canadians could do no wrong and Americans no right. By the way, either geographically or temperamentally, it would be interesting to know whether you consider yourself African, Asian or American? You are allowed to be half-clever and claim to be all three, what in Bombay was once called "a complete soda-lemon".
