I think the following line can be modified to include GOA with little effort:
"Panjaba Sindhu GOA Gujarata Maratha"
and the rest will sound fine."

Yesterday in Walk the talk with Nitin Gadkari,
Shekhar Gupta put to rest how important Goa is on the National political
firmament.
"Goa state bhi hai aur nahi bhi, matlab..."
..etc. etc.
The suggestion to alter our National anthem is one of the most ludicrous
suggestions I have heard.
On a lighter note, perhaps Ravindranath Tagore, not being a beach bum, did not
consider
including Goa (and Kerala and Nagaland etc.)in the poem. Hahaha, no?
