Goa (INDIA): The chief minister of the Western Indian state of Goa has said that he was planning to pen a ‘bestselling’ memoir on his political life, which he claims will be a hilarious read, because politics and governance in one of India’s smallest state are sometimes extremely “comic”.
“I am now thinking of writing a book and I am sure it will be a bestseller, because I have had access to so much ‘comedy’ when I was in politics and in government,” Manohar Parrikar announced at a centenary function organized by Gomantak Maratha Samaj. The tough-talking alumni of the Mumbai-based Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), has arguably for some been the one silver lining, on Goa’s otherwise pretty ornery and jaded political canvas, which is otherwise populated by either ageing, overtly corrupt and petty machinating leaders or power hungry local satraps who mushroom in one election and disappear in the next. for more please log on to http://bikyamasr.com/68504/parrikar-to-pen-down-bestselling-memoir-about-comedies-of-governance/ -- -- Mayabhushan Nagvenkar 1392, Anjuna, Bardez, Goa pin code 403509 # 09420976862 http://www.ardh-satya.blogspot.com http://www.ganimikawa.blogspot.com
