Sometime back I had met a friend of mine with whom I played football in school, I had met him after a long time and as we got talking, we spoke about our families and he happened to tell me that his son had been doing very well in cricket and that he was in the Goa Jr. team but because of favouritism in the GCA his son was getting limited chances even though he proved himself whenever he had the chance. He also went on to tell me how D Narvekar use to force his own son into the team leaving the better ones out, he had even threatened to end this young boy's (my friend's son) career if he ever questioned his authority in the selection of team Goa. Dayanand Narvekar played God for to long at the GCA and his forced ouster will surely be better for Goan cricket, having said so it is imperative that all the other "yes sir" members of the GCA should be kicked out too as they must have surely benefited in letting D Narvekar play God for such a long time. It will certainly be good riddance to bad rubbish !
