In addition to filing bogus criminal charges against Sanal Edamaruku under an anti-secular and antiquated blasphemy law, a libelous hate campaign has been launched against him in the following manner:
1. Instead of presenting specific charges backed by evidence in an Indian court of law, which recognizes the principle of innocent until proven guilty, a religious propaganda organization, falsely named Catholic-Christian Secular Forum, has published a biased propaganda newsletter against Edamaruku, and disseminated it through a mass email campaign. The newsletter contains unproven allegations, whose purpose in the public domain rather than in a court of law, is only to incite hatred against Edamaruku, especially among followers of one religion and sectarian religio-political activists. 2. One Goanetter has recirculated repeatedly these libelous unproven allegations over and over again in multiple Goan forums. 3. Another Goanetter, indeed a Goanet Administrator has made his own libelous allegation in this public forum providing a YouTube video in Hindi that does not back his false allegation. Now just like any specific individual that Sanal Edamaruku might have personally libeled, Sanal himself has a good case for filing a defamation suit against the above organization and individuals.
