Sandesh,

Mainstream scientific community is a term that refers to the entire collection
of people whose profession is to conduct scientific research and academic
activities related to science. In order to be qualified to practice this
profession one has to obtain at least a postgraduate degree in a scientific
subject, and complete some structured training in scientific research at an
accredited university. I am happy that you have doubts about yogic farming
despite the fact that you are not convinced of the starkly obvious observation
that "What the bleep" is not a documentary about real science. As for your
doubts about the scientific understanding of matter and consciousness, and
about the arrogance of scientists, all I can say is your doubts do not refute
the fact that professional scientists can easily tell the difference between
real science and pseudoscience. I would be happy to point to you books and
articles that would hopefully enlighten you on the
 basics of this elementary distinction.

Cheers,

Santosh
