Congratulations to young Ivana Maria Furtado , her parents and brother Keegan for Ivana's achievement of winning Asian junior Girls Championship! My heartiest congrats to Goan sports lovers. With reigning Champion Bhakti Kulkarni out of form, Ivana stepped in ably and won the Championship for the tiny coastal State. It was great performance and may be unprecedented by any other state to produce back to back Asian Champions in the recent past!! I congratulate Goan Chess fraternity for producing back to back Asian Junior Champions and one of them at the age of 14! Surely it will motivate the youngsters in your State.
