Heartening to see GSRP's Road Map for Goa being resurrected again over it's
Chapter II (5) General Policies -[CIVILIAN SERVICES BOARDS] . Along with
GSRP's Road Map for GOA, it's Vice President (North) Mr. Matias Vaz has
also been resurrected. Mr. Vaz is also the President of GOA FOUNDATION,
President of ' GOEMCHEA RAKHONDARANCHO AWAZ' [GRA] and a Member, 'GOA
ENVIRONMENTAL ACTION GROUP [GEAG] Another very much appreciated name in
this list is that of our very own Taget Goa's Bevinda Collaco's. We can only
expect good things to flow out of this otherwise 'conxeak marullem in
Saligao' Planning Commission Board. Manohar Parrikar has definitely departed
from his traditional thinking and we appreciate this very much.
In this context, it is pertinent to mention that Dr. Wilfred D'Souza was the
Ex-Chairman of the Planning Board.
At the time when he was offered the post by Manohar Parrikar (BJP's last
tenure), I happened to be visiting Dr. Wilfred at his residence where
another esteemed visitor was Ex- Minister Alexio Sequeira. While sipping
coffee and making small talk, Dr. D'Souza handed to me two letters and asked
me to go through them amid good humored protests by Aleixo Sequeira telling
the good doctor that he is making a mistake, that flaws where there are no
flaws will be pointed out. When I was done with the letters, I handed them
back to the good Doctor who asked me what I thought of them. I told him that
there were flaws in both the letters, when Aleixo butted in saying "I had
warned you" . Incidentally, one was the letter written by Manohar Parrikar
to Doctor D'Souza, trying to convince him that he should take-over as the
Chairman of the Planning Commission. The other was the reply from the good
Doctor.
FL: Manohar Parrikar says - quote " Like you, I too have a vision of Goa "
That is pattently wrong, Doctor. The correct way of saying this should have
been " like you, I too have a vision FOR Goa", and not OF Goa.
DR. Why?
FL: Because, even a beggar has a vision of Goa. He can see the garbage
spreading around, roads in a mess, public transport in shambles etc.
DR. What is the flaw in my letter?
FL: You have said quote " If I take the post, I shall not 'expect' any
remuneration"
Dr. So?
FL: Doctor, you should have said " If I take the post, I shall not 'ACCEPT'
any remuneration"

GSRP is very happy that Alina has been elevated to the status of the
esteemed Minister in the Goa Government. Whilst CONGRATULATING her, we wish
her well AND, all the very best with her MINISTRY.
Though GSRP was officially invited for this oath taking ceremony at the Raj
Bhavan, we regret that we were not able to be present in person to extend to
ALINA our deepest appreciation, our Congratulations and our good wishes.

With the affluence and hype surrounding Sharda, looks like the 'rod' needs
to be replaced with a 'WHIP'

"CONG NEEDS TIME TO BOUNCE BACK: SARDINHA"
Comments:
Sadly, the bouncing matter in the CONG has leached away since the last
March's humiliating defeat at the hustings. Further leaching of this
bouncing matter in the CONG is underway thro' fear of prison cages. Let us
forget the CONG for the next 20 years or so and concentrate on size-up the
KING, instead.
