Yesterday, 4th. July, 2012:
I was in Panjim delivering the letter to the CM & HM, the DGP, the Governor
of Goa regarding the explosive matter of unruly and goonda PSI Datta Guru
Savant of Valpoi PS seeking his dismissal from Police service. On my way
back, I came across something which if GSRP was ruling GOA, the DGP would be
getting the sack on immediate basis. Why?
This Party has said that Goa's governance will see the sea change within the
first 15 days in office of the GSRP's government. This is based on the fact
that after the oath taking ceremony and celebrations, the next day will be
the day the government of GOA will be in place and functioning. On this day,
all DEPARTMENT HEADS without exception will be required to attend the First
Cabinet meeting for introducing who is who in the government wherein the
Heads of Department will depart with the instructions that they MUST PUT
THEIR RESPECTIVE DEPARTMENTS IN ORDER within the next 15 days. If, on the
sixteenth day, any tail end of the department is found seriously wanting,
the department HEAD will roll and roll for SURE.
In so doing, the Government will have bought time for itself for the next 15
days to relax and recuperate from the Election related Exertion , while the
Head of Departments will have lost their beauty sleep for the next 15 day in
setting their departments in order.
Why would the DGP's head roll yesterday?
The story goes like this.
When I arrived at Porvorim, there was a serious accident taken place
somewhere near Fatima D'sa's garage wherein one person riding a scooter died
and other seriously injured or it is said. The Traffic had piled up from
O'Coqueiro and inching forward. Side by side to my vehicle, there was a Grey
Maruti Van with the registration No. as MH 07 H 1460 carrying a lot of men.
The assistant or the front seat passenger had gone ahead to check out the
scene. When he came back, he huddled the passengers on the back seat under
the seat or to squat, crouch whatever saying ... Bahoot Police Haim.
Alerted, I called the 100 and got a lady on the phone. Listen, I said in
Konkani, there is an accident at Porvorim and I have something serious to
report, just take down this number. The lady promptly told me that they know
about the accident and have sent the police and promptly disconnected. I
called again and the same lady answered the call. I told her that I am going
to give her the number of a suspicious car which could be transporting
terrorists or robbers. Promptly came the response " HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT?"
So I said 'BITCH' just write down will you?
And she promptly disconnected the phone. When I was at Green Park Hotel,
Guirim, I saw the car taking the Mapusa route and not the By-Pass and again
called 100. Same stupid answered the call. I told her I had called before
and she should take down what I am telling her. She asked me 'SUSPICIOUS
MUNJE KITEM?" I told her "JUST TAKE THIS NUMBER DOWN AND I WILL TELL YOU"
and she promptly disconnected when I was dictating the registration number
but not before I told her that I shall have her dismissed.
We see NAKA BANDIS and what not. To catch whom I don't know. Our DGP cannot
ensure that there is a decent guy on the 100 line to take down the
information and relay it wherever it is supposed to be. What happened
yesterday is a CRIME. ACCORDING TO ME GOA POLICE IS FULL OF SHIT. IT
REQUIRES DRASTIC MEASURES TO IMPROVE IT'S FUNCTIONING. My attempts to
report a vehicle carrying suspicious people was frustrated. I am still so
frustrated that I could strangle the DGP or whoever that is responsible for
this lapse. A SIMPLE 'may I help you' cannot be had from the police
department or any government department. This is why GSRP's ROAD MAP FOR GOA
says that there will be a 'PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER' stationed at every
Government department including the GOA POLICE.

PS: This to and from reporting was called off at 2:15 p.m to be exact. The
lady answering the 100 can be traced and trashed soundly.
