Response: Have no experience of Tanga or Zanzibar, but couldn't agree more about the Goans in Mombasa and, for the short time I was there, Dar too. In fact my very first experience was at the Goan Institute in Mombasa. I had just arrived in Mombasa, aged 18, to take up my first job in Nairobi-yet,was coaxed into staying on and taking part in a concert at the G.I.
