Giving Voice to India is an ongoing long term project to improve the singing of western classical music in India and to increase the enjoyment and appreciation of that music. It appeals to all who wish to sing, from choir members to potential soloists, and to all those who wish to enjoy singing well.

Giving Voice to India seeks to run four times per year at three month intervals. It is given by world renowned soprano Patricia Rozario, OBE and her husband, pianist, writer, composer and broadcaster, Mark Troop. The course consists of a carefully constructed programme of vocal exercises, recording student progress, language development and style and interpretation.

The next course will take place from 26th to 30th July at Kala Academy. Although the emphasis will be on classical music, the course welcomes singers from diverse backgrounds – classical, jazz and pop – who are interested in improving and developing their natural voices.

Singers and voice teachers are encouraged to avail of the excellent training that is on offer here. Patricia Rozario and Mark Troop are world-renowned artists with vast experience in teaching and communicating their unique skills. There has been a marked level of improvement shown by students of the past courses and such quality training helps in identifying students with definite potential to take their singing to a higher level.
