*‘Mhozo Des Mahan’* *TAG’s Inter-School Patriotic Dance Competition* ‘Mhozo Des Mahan’, a cultural programme of dances choreographed on Konkani songs of patriotism/national integration/communal harmony will be held on 23 rd August 2012 at Pai Tiatrist Joao Agostinho Fernandes Auditorium, Ravindra Bhavan, Margao from 10:00 am onwards. ‘Mhozo Des Mahan’ is an inter-school competition of patriotic dances on Konkani songs of patriotism/ national integration/communal harmony. Tiatr Academy of Goa has organized this inter-school competition with two objectives in mind – 1. To encourage production of songs on patriotism and national integration in Konkani and 2. To inculcate the values of patriotism and national integration among the school students. In all, 29 schools are participating in this competition. Tudal High School, Tudal Gaondongrem, Canacona (17) Fatima Convent High School, Margao (18)Assagao Union High School, Assagao (19) Guardian Angel High School, Curchorem (20) St. Mary’s Convent High School, Altinho, Mapusa (21) A.J.de Almeida High School, Ponda (22) St. Joseph Convent High School, Nagoa (23) Holy Rosary Convent High School, Belloi, Nuvem (24) Our Lady of the Rosary High School, P.O. N.I.O., Donapaula (25) Fr. Agnel High School, Pilar (26) Our Lady of Perpetual Succour High School, Cortalim (27) Saviour of the World High School, Loutolim (28) Our Lady of Rosary High School, Fatorda (29) Adarsh V.V.High School, Pajifond Margao. The participating schools are requested to be present at 9:30 am sharp at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao for the draw of lots. The group will have to provide a recorded CD having the song on which the group is going to perform. The participating schools will be provided to and fro transport charges, refreshments and awards for performance. The first, second and third award carries an amount of Rs.7000/-, Rs.5000/- and Rs.3000/- respectively besides mementos and certificates. The Best Choreographer will also be awarded with a cash prize of Rs.2000/- and certificate. Shri. Damodar Naik, Chairman Ravindra Bhavan will be the Chief Guest and has kindly consented to give away the prizes at the end of the competition. 92.7 BIG FM will be the radio partners for this event. * Victor de Sa* Member Secretary
