Re: the topic of dances, I'd suggest that it is best to move to another topic.

Why do we inadvertently or otherwise cause Goa and Goans to be extra-connected
mainly to Dances, Hops, and Carnival? Could we not write about (say) the Ella
farm and grafting or Mariculture, the refurbishing of historical structures,
the resurgence of Portuguese music and language in Goa, the achievements of
Goans in sports, the sciences, publishing et al ?

For present & future story tellers & historians, May I recommend a principle
that many common law courts follow I.e. review ALL the facts of a case before
pronouncing judgment (i.e. reaching a conclusion)?

My Comment:-

This is a brilliant Idea. JC, why don't you initiate a project to gather up all
the info from various strata of Goans in Goa and throughout the world in order
to compile a history of achievements by Goans from the various disciplines of
life. This would be a portrait of how we adventurous Goans emanating from this
tiny dot on the map, GOA, have taken the world by storm and excelled in every
sphere of life in whatever country we have emigrated to. This would be a
history book which could be used in Schools in Goa in order to impart to future
generations of Goans how their ancestors travelled and settled throughout the
world and highlighting their achievements. A document that would make them
proud to be Goan.
