EINSTEIN says everything is RELATIVE, politicians RELATIVE is every thing It is a well known fact that the politcians have been always favouring their own cronies and kit and kin. It is nothing new and unexpected. In the heat of coalgate, Subod Kant Sahai is nailed for doing just that. He wrote to the P.M, coal Minister then , to grant coal blocks to his brother. The most immediate note of the P.M.led to a flury of activity in two days and blocks were granted. It now transpires that the recomnedations were for his brother, Director of steel company It is moot point whether the P.M knew bout the relationships. Is there a moral responsibilty for which the Minister should resign? As of now nothing sort of this is happening. The Congress is all out to justify and defend. taking shelter under court decision of a single judge, which is appealed The PIL had avered that that Subod kant Sahai influenced to get precuniary benefit to his brother. The petioner could not prove and for vexaxious litigation is fined two and half lakhs. The whole lot of proofs were not available to the petioner, which are now in the public domain and till such time the judgement stays Very rarely nepotism comes to the public knowledge and the opposition has taken advantage to maul UPA II. The controversy has put Subod in a tight sport, labouring to explain that his brother is an Engineer and a profesional He does not deny the favour granted because of his proximity to the P.M and who in turn has shown undue haste, without application of his mind.
