Danielle (17) and Kaitlyn (14) Fernandes will be off to Germany in October
2012 as members of the Canadian National Dance Team at the IDO World Dance
Championships 2012 in Frankfurt, Germany (http://www.ido-dance.com),
competing in ballet, modern and jazz categories.
Both Danielle and Kaitlyn Fernandes have been individually recognized in the
past few years with full scholarships by the Triple Threat Dance Convention
held in Vancouver annually. Danielle was also selected as the 2012 Senior
Modern Representative by the Pacific West Festival, and competed in Nanaimo,
B.C. at the provincial level.
Danielle and Kaitlyn are actively looking for sponsors to offset their
costs. Upfront costs alone are $3550 per dancer, with additional costs for
costume and accessories expected to be around $300 per genre, which adds up
pretty swiftly when competing in ballet, modern and jazz. In summary, the
total cost per dancer would be $4500.
