[Goanet] OLD GOAN SAW

[PAES]

There is an old Goan saw that’s getting blunter by the day. 
It goes like this: “Munxeak uttor - gorvak dhanyem”
My interpretation of it is: “A word is to man, what the leash is to cattle.”
Could it be put better?
